Day 1
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi
Transfer from the airport. Tbilisi, the name of the city comes from the word “warm”, ancient picturesque, cultural capital of Georgia, founded by Georgian King Vakhtang Gorgasali in IV century AD. Here we will start our city sightseeing.
after we will visit the wine cellar in Tbilisi, where we will taste the different types of wine and Georgian snacks. Next we will move to Mtskheta city to see the Jvari monastery (UNESCO) and Svetistskhoveli church. After we will taste the wine from this region. Every wine from each region has its own special flavor.
Day 2
Tbilisi – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Traveling to Gori, Stalin’s museum. Then we’ll visit “Uplistsikhe”, an amazing ancient rock-hewn town. Visiting Chateau Mukhrani winery, the wine-making firm, owing the above mentioned winery. Unique and interesting at the same time for several reasons.
Here white wine “Goruli Green” is produced, which is not produced anywhere else. Here we can see Muscat which is rare in Georgia. Bagration Mukhraneli palace belongs to winery. There are cellar and tunnel under the Palace, which connects this cellar to the winery. Tasting and master classes. Return to Tbilisi.
Day 3
Tbilisi – Kakheti
Breakfast at the hotel. Traveling to Kakheti region. This side is often called the cradle of wine. The most popular area in wine production. Here we will visit several wineries. We willvisit Chavchavadze Museum in Tsinandali. Wine tasting and if desired, real local cuisine are waiting for us. Overnight
Day 4
Traveling to Signagi, walking around the city. Visiting Bodbe Monastery. A wine tasting in Signagi and the excursion in the wine factory.
Return to Tbilisi.
Transfer to the airport.
